Mark Williams was born in Gothenburg, Nebraska, to Jim and Stacy Williams. At the age of 10 the Williams family moved to Livermore, California where his father began a mission work under the authority of First Missionary Baptist Church of Antioch, California. At the age of 18 Mark asked the Lord to be his personal Savior while at church camp in southern California. He was baptized the following Sunday and joined Grace Missionary Baptist Church of Livermore, California.
After High School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and began basic training in January 2002. During his 4 year enlistment he did 2 tours of duty in Iraq, as a tank crew man in an M1A1 Abrams tank, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In January of 2006 he was honorably discharged from the Marine corps. The following month he married his wife, Amanda Turpin at their home church in Redlands, California. Over the next year they both served in First Missionary Baptist Church of Redlands, California while Mark Attended seminary classes.
In March 2007, First Missionary Baptist Church of Manteca called Mark as their Pastor. Over the last 10 years he and his wife, have served the church with great joy. During this time they prayed to start a family and have since been blessed with 4 children.
God has blessed both the Williams family and the church in Manteca. We have seen great spiritual growth, and the love of God on display as we strive to do His will. We look forward with eager anticipation to what the Lord has in store for all of us. The church is fully dedicated to the work in Manteca and desires to be used of God in any way to assist others in their walk with the Lord.
